Call for Papers

The Special Education and Neuropsychiatry Exhibition (SPENEX 2026) invites researchers, academics, and industry professionals to submit original, unpublished papers for presentation and publication. Accepted and presented papers will be published in AIP Conference Proceedings and indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, and other major databases.

Submission Guidelines

All papers must be submitted via the Microsoft Conference Management Toolkit (CMT).

Paper Format

All manuscripts must follow the AIP Conference Proceedings author guidelines:

  • Use the official AIP 8.5 × 11 template (download Word template).

  • Paper size must be 8.5 × 11 inches (US Letter).

  • Do not add page numbers, headers, or footers.

  • Do not alter the margins of the template.

  • All pages must be in portrait orientation.

  • Include the author name(s) and full affiliation address including country.

  • Use clear, legible graphics and diagrams contained within the margins.

  • References must follow the AIP sample reference guidelines provided in the template package.

  • All fonts must be embedded in the final PDF.

  • Do not use copyrighted material without permission and proper crediting.\

AIP Conference Proceedings uses author-prepared PDFs for all published content and does not send author proofs prior to publication. Please ensure your manuscript is submitted in its final form.

What to Submit

  1. A final PDF file of your paper with all fonts embedded.

  2. A signed Copyright Release Form (download here) — at least one author per paper must sign.

Authors who wish to allow open access to their work may opt for the AIP Author Select option using a CC BY license (download Open Access Publish Agreement).

Review Process

All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review managed through the Microsoft CMT platform. Papers will be evaluated on originality, technical quality, relevance, and clarity of presentation.

AIP Conference Proceedings uses author-prepared PDFs for all published content and will not send out author proofs prior to publication. Therefore, it is important to ensure that all manuscripts are submitted in their final form and that all fonts are embedded. AIP author template packages contain comprehensive advice and guidelines for authors—including a Do’s and Don’ts checklist—all papers must be prepared abiding by these guidelines. Well-prepared manuscripts enable rapid publication. When preparing your manuscript for AIP Conference Proceedings, please abide by the following requests:

  • Download your template package for Word or LaTex.

  • Do not add page numbers or headers/footers.

  • Do not alter the margins of our templates.

  • Paper size is 8.5 x 11.

  • The paper must include the author name and full affiliation address including country.

  • Use clear, legible graphics and diagrams contained within the margins.

  • Do not use copyrighted material without permission and proper crediting.

  • All pages are to be in portrait.

  • References are prepared using our sample reference guidelines (available in the template package). References can only be linked if they are complete.

  • Embed all fonts into your manuscript PDF.

Standard 8.5 x 11 templates

The following templates are AIP Publishing standard, and you must use them for all AIP Conference Proceedings volumes:

For LaTeX users AIP Publishing has made a formatted template available in Overleaf. For best results and full support, we recommend that you use the AIP Conference Proceedings template in Overleaf. Authors may download either the PDF template or a .zip file containing the template.

Copyright Release Form

The Editor of the conference is required to secure a copyright release for each paper signed by at least one author for each paper. The signed copyright releases should be sent to AIP Publishing along with the manuscript. (Please note that the exception at the bottom of the form is for US federal government employees only.)

AIP Conference Proceedings authors who want to allow open access to their work can opt for our Author Select option, which uses a CC BY license.
