Research from neuroscience, developmental psychology, and psychiatry demonstrates that family interactions—from couple relationships and parenting patterns to intergenerational dynamics—significantly impact nervous system development, stress regulation, and adaptive capacity across the lifespan.
SPENEX serves as an academic platform bridging neuroscience, mental health, and clinical-community practices. With the theme "From Couples to Generations: The Neuroscience of Family Resilience," this symposium aims to generate evidence-based, practical recommendations for clinicians, academics, educators, and policymakers committed to building resilient, mentally healthy families.
